Genesis is where it all started. Of course I havemade art my whole life, but this is where I startedto be serious and dedicated to my craft. My firstthought out series, my first (small) exhibitionexperience. The name of this series, genesis, represents thestart of something. I take a lot of inspiration outof all faculties of my personal life, whichincorporates a deep need for philosophicalthinking about life, death, spiritual topics, politicsand much more. This is why I chose to use the biblical story ofGenesis as my inspiration for this series. Thenames and topics represent different stages ofthe story of creation.Let there be lightLet there be light is represented by the Sun. Oursun is our source of life, without it, we wouldn’tbe here. Energy is being created inside the sun,and travels down to our earth, we can see this aslight. (can we actually see the light or can we seebecause of the light?) This energy gets used up byplants, and in turn everything that we see asnormal in our daily lives, has been made possibleby this energy and thus light that our sun gives tous every single day.
